Vietnam Communist Party has gone through 8 Congresses since its foundation (over 70 years now) and the 9th Congress will be held in 2001 - the first year of the new epoch.

The 1-2 (VND400): The images on the stamp are the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh - the founder and trainer of Vietnam Communist Party, the Party's Flag, the number IX and the map of Vietnam. The stamp shows that Vietnam Communist Party has gone through 8 Congresses since its foundation. And, each congress has set forth the right policies to organize and lead Vietnamese Revolution to gain victories after victories.
The 2-2 (VND3000): On the stamp are the image of the hammer and sickle on Ngoc Lu Bronze Drum head and the symbol of the development of science, technology & intellectual economy - a challenge for the nation entering into the new epoch. However, under the clear-sighted leadership of the Party and with the nation's determination to build a wealthy and powerful country, the Vietnam Communist Party's 9th Congress will firmly carry out the sound policies for the steady development of the country following the strend of integration and globalization while always promoting and preserving the nation's cultural identity.
