     Vietnam is a tropical country with high humidity, suitable for fruit trees to be luxuriant all the year round. In addition to being a rich source of precious forestry produce, Vietnam's forests also boast various types of strange flowers and fruits. Especially, there is an abundance of wild fruits that are strangely-shaped having marvelous colors, some of which are rare and precious types unique in Vietnam.

     The Department General of Posts and Telecommunications (DGPT) recently issued a special stamp set entitled "Wild fruits" consisting of five models:

Model 1: Rubus cochinchinensis with a face value of VND400

Model 2: Rhizophora mucronata Lam with a face value of VND400

Model 3: Podocarpus neriifolicuss with a face value of VND400

Model 4: Magnolia pumila Andl with a face value of VND4000

Model 5: Taxus chinensis with a face value of VND15,000
