     The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer's League - a social organization was founded in 15/5/1941 under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

      Through 60 years of construction and development, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer's League with their movements has rapidly developed and enhanced nationwide. They are really the cores of Pioneer's movements and the firm reserved force to the Youth Union.

     Being considered by the State and Party, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer's League has been developed and grown up with every passing day. Their emulative movements have been continuously diversified and enriched with contents: "Speaking polite, doing good work, becoming a good child & well pupil, good pioneer, well-behaved child of Uncle Ho". With such movements, many excellent pioneers was marked up as symbolic charaters for every one in the whole country to study and follow.

     To commemorate 60th Birthday of Young Pioneer's League, Department General of Post and Telecommunication issues the stampset "60th Foundation Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer's League (15/5/1941 - 15/5/2001)" with one value of 400d. On the stamp are the portrait of Uncle Ho together with Vietnamese Pioneer.
