Cactus is collected by many people. Cactus is easy to plant and can grow in hot dry region. Flowers of cactuses are of various types and colours. In Vietnam, it used to be most favourite hobby to grow and collect cactuses.

     On 18/2/2002, the DGPT issues the stampset “Cactus” consisting of 5 values. The stampset presents some rare types of cactus with the hope that it will add to the Vietnamese stamp collections after 10 years absence of the stampset Cactus.

Model 1: Echinocereus albatus with a face value of VND1,000

Model 2: Echinocereus delaetii with a face value of VND1,000

Model 3: Cylindropuntia bigelowii for the negative with a face value of VND1,000

Model 4: Echinocereus triglochidatus with a face value of VND5,000

Model 5: Epiphyllum truncatum with a face value of VND10,000
