20th Anniversary of Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) - Code: 804
The Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT in short) was founded in 1979. Vietnam became its memeber in the same year. APT has 29 member countries, 4 territories together with their telecommunication firms & organizations.
APT's aim is to maintain equilibrium development of telecommunication network in Asian Pacific region in line with socio-economic development. APT has 3 main tasks: making plan to coordinate programmes of regional telecom service exploitation & management; Giving consultation to solve telecom problems effectively on the base of the region; Making tightly coordination on telecom technique in the region. To mark 20th anniversary of APT, Department General of Posts & Telecommunications (DGPT) issues the stampset "20th Anniversary of Asia Pacific Telecommunity" with one value of 400d. The stamp shows the logo of 20 Anniversary of APT, satellite, antenna on the background of Asian Pacific map. |
