Kite-flying is a cultural & art game that has been existent for ages in Vietnam. The whistling sound of flute-kite hovering in the moonlight over country field, children's shout for joy along with kites fully spread with wind in summer afternoon reminded each of us of old memories in the childhood. Kite is a work of art. To make a kite in fine model & with high-flying possibility, artists are always required to have a good imagination, to design kites with various models, shapes & sizes to satisfy different demands. Vietnam kites have diversified models expressing national identity. In order to introduce Vietnam kites, Department General of Posts & Telecommunications (DGPT) issues the stampset "Kites" consisting of three values:

Eagle - kite - 400d. This type was created by Hue artists. It looks like an eagle, the symbol of the power in the sky.The 3-2:
Flute - kite - 5,000d. This type being popular in Northern delta is affixed on bamboo flute which makes melodious sound when highly flown in the sky.The 3-3:
Peacock - kite - 7,000d. It looks like a beautiful peacock.
