Tuong's Mask - Code: 801
Tuong is an original art of Vietnam traditional stage. Through content of legends, Tuong art has left deep impressions & thoughts in people's mind. In order to continuously introduce the Tuong's Masks of the Central provinces - an orthodox Tuong in Vietnam, Department General of Posts & Telecommunications (DGPT) issues the stampset "Tuong's masks" consisting of six values:
- The 6 - 1: Van Trong - 1st highest-ranking mandarin of the Court, a talented general who was versed both in literature & military skill - 400d
- The 6 - 2: Hoang Phi Ho - a loyal mandarin, a red actor from the Tuong play "Hoang Phi Ho qua gioi bai quan" (in Vietnamese) - 1,000d
- The 6 - 3: Chau Thuong - a heroic, talented & loyal character but having a secluded life, a black actor from the Tuong play "Quan cong hoi co thanh" (in Vietnamese) - 2,000d
- The 6 - 4: Tiet Cuong - a loyal & talented general - 5,000d
- The 6 - 5: Mao At - a funny & faint-hearted negative character from the Tuong play "Son hau" - 6,000d
- The 6 - 6: Tran Long - a negative character (small sycophant) form the historical Tuong play "Tran Binh Trong" - 10,000d
