The P&T sector of Vietnam was founded on August 15, 1945, a date which has a significant historical meaning in that it was stated in the Resolution of the National Congress of the Indochinese Communist Party “…it is a must to set up the professional communications sector and they should be helped to fulfil their tasks…”

     On the occasion of the 55th founding anniversary of the P&T sector, DGPT issues a special stamp set “In celebration of the 55th founding anniversary of the P&T sector”. The face value of telecommunications stamp is VND400. The stamp gives an image of the P&T sector which has overcome over half a century of existence and development, boasting a glorious history that has been recorded in the laudatory of “Loyal-Brave-Devoted-Creative-Grateful”.
