The Ho Chi Minh Youth Union was founded on March 26, 1931 as a helpful aide and reserve force for the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Ho Chi Minh Youth Union has, in the past 70 years, successfully fulfilled all its tasks, contributing to the general victory of the nation in the cause of fighting for independence and unity, national construction and protection.
On the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary, the Department General of Posts and Telecommunications (DGPT) issues a special stamp set entitled 70th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2001).
The one-model set has a face value of VND400, bearing images of young volunteers - young intellectual people in their typical costume.
